2005 Program

FLL teams use science and technology to better understand the world's oceans. FIRST LEGO League travels into the depths of the ocean to explore the mysteries that lie below.

The oceans are of vital importance to the health of the Earth and to everyone that lives on this planet; yet only 1% of these magnificent bodies of water have been studied. Oceans provide inspiration, fun, and food. They absorb carbon and generate oxygen, profoundly affecting the global environmental system. A distress call has been issued to FIRST LEGO League teams around the world to find solutions that will sustain the health, biodiversity, and productivity of the world’s oceans for present and future generations.

Results from 2004 State Tournament

The Intel Oregon FIRST LEGO League 2004 State Tournament was held on Sunday, January 16, 2005. Because of the weather, only 62 of the 76 teams that planned to attend were able to do so. Those that attended appeared to have a great time showing off their robots, making presentations to the judging panels, and competing for the twelve award categories. A list of the awards can be displayed by clicking here. To view photographs of the winning teams click here. Team rankings are available by clicking here. Because no team could win more than one award, those listed at the top of a ranking are often different from those that received the corresponding awards.

Congratulations to all the teams for all that they accomplished! And, a big thank you to the hundreds of volunteers that served as coaches and mentors and put on the Tournament!
