IV. 2Learn2Learn/ORTOP Training for Collaborative Problem Solving:
Skills and Group Dynamics

The struggles of a robotics team can be understood as predictable stages in any small group's life. In Fall 2008 ORTOP hosted a workshop, lead by 2Learn2Learn consultants, that covered team dynamics and learning strategies. 2Learn2Learn has made their presentation available for those who missed the workshop, or those who wish to review.

In this workshop participants learned:
1) The four stages of team life
2) The struggle for status in youth peer groups, and its implications for team life
3) A team-building exercise to move teams from chaos to collaboration
4) Two problem-solving skills that will help kids grow in robotics intelligence AND social intelligence.
