As a group leader, you can introduce your group to the excitement of technical teamwork using LEGO robotics. Attend a robotics workshop to learn more and gain hands-on experience building and programming a robot. If you like, we will arrange for a technical professional to advise you and assist you in introducing robotics to your group. Group leaders and teachers who are interested in forming one or more teams to enter a FIRST LEGO League team in a local tournament in Oregon may apply for a scholarship that will cover all or part of the cost of robotics kits and registeration fees. As an Oregon teacher you can introduce your classes and after-school clubs to engineering projects that include the basics of mechanical design, electronics, and software programming. Your students will see how science and mathematics are used to solve real-world problems. You can attend a hands-on workshop to learn more.
